Amalgamated Bank is seeking applicants for our Management Trainee Program within our Retail Banking Group.
The Management Trainee Program is designed to develop qualified candidates and provide them with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage all aspects of the operations of a retail bank Branch. The training cycle will last approximately 12 to 18 months and will consist of both classroom, instructor-led courses, as well as on-the-job modules in our branches, which will center on learning and developing proficiencies in the following areas:
Upon successful completion of the program, the Management Trainee will be capable of effectively supervising the performance of all operational functions of one of our retail bank branches, as well have the necessary skills to develop productive business relationships with both new and existing customers. The Management Trainee will also have the skills necessary to manage a branch on a daily basis, supervise branch staff, and manage the achievement of branch sales goals and business objectives.
Interested candidates should have a Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience, basic knowledge of sales principles and practices; a basic understanding of retail banking branch operations: and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Individuals selected for the Management Trainee Program will enter the program as an Officer of the Bank at the Assistant Manager level.
