George Jarvis

Executive Vice President
Co-Director of the Commercial Banking Group

Mr. Jarvis is an Executive Vice President/Co-Director of the Commercial Banking Group of Amalgamated Bank. Mr. Jarvis is responsible for co-managing a Group of Commercial Bankers and Middle Market Lenders who are responsible for $650MM in outstanding loans. He also manages the Health Care Financial Services unit of the Commercial Banking Group.

The Group maintains offices at 275 Seventh Avenue in New York City and Pasedena, California. Prior to joining Amalgamated, Mr. Jarvis was a Senior Marketing Officer for North Fork Business Capital where he worked directly with private equity groups and private and publicly traded companies that needed financing for growth, buyouts and recapitalizations.

Prior to North Fork, Mr. Jarvis worked in New York City with Chase Manhattan, Atlantic Bank, Commerce Bank and Manufacturers Hanover Trust. His work at these banks included managing hundreds of middle-market borrowing relationships with businesses in the tri-state area.

Mr. Jarvis earned a BA in Marketing from Marist College and received a MBA in Finance from Adelphia Universtiy.
