Amalgamated Bank's Health Care Financial Services Program, founded in 1977, is designed to respond to the unique needs of the nursing care industry as well as other health-related agencies. This program is the nation's most widely accepted program of its type. The Bank services more than 200 voluntary and proprietary nursing homes and other health-related facilities.

Programs include:

• Title XIX Medicaid Deposit Program - Maximizes the efficiency of Medicaid payment handling and increases cash flow.
• Resident Direct Deposit Program - Provides for electronic crediting of payments made to residents or clients.
• Patient Fund Program - The option to establish individual statement savings accounts in each resident's name, with the facility acting in a representative payee capacity, or to open an interest bearing lump sum facility/resident fund account.
• Burial Fund Program - Operates in a similar manner to Patient Fund Program, with separate interest bearing accounts for each participating resident.
• Resident/Tenant Rent Security Program - Designed for those facilities with separate living quarters for private payment residents. Establishes separate accounts for all rent security collected.
• Resident Banking Software - System enables facility to use its own computer to maintain resident accounts.
• Cash Management Services - AB ACCESS+^TM Corporate Cash Management
• Nursing Home Employee Payroll Program - A safe and simple way for nursing home employees to handle their pay.
• Credit Card Acceptance Program - Credit card acceptance capability offered to our healthcare facility clients.
